Healthy skin naturally repairs itself. But feet are under constant pressure. That means this natural process can be disrupted, leading to cracked and rough skin.
Vaseline Intensive Rescue Hydrating Foot Cream softens skin on contact. It then deeply moisturises, promoting the ideal environment for skin's natural healing process to occur, and reducing roughness within 5 days.

How it works
The only places where the skin does not have hair follicles are on the palms of the hands and the soles of the feet. Sebum production occurs where hair follicles are present, and helps to provide oils and lipids to the skin, reducing water loss through the skin’s surface. Without this oil being produced on our palms or soles the skin can be affected to a greater level with everyday activities. As the feet supporting the entire weight of our body the skin on the soles also has to be even tougher to withstand this along with friction from walking.
As the skin on feet becomes very dry from surrounding elements, the skin begins to harden and coarsen. Rough, dry skin on feet creates an environment where further moisture loss continues, making it difficult for the skin's natural healing processes to occur.
Vaseline Intensive Rescue Hydrating Foot Cream helps to stop this process through an optimal combination of humectants, occlusives and Alpha Hydroxy A cids. The foot cream softens skin on contact while gently reducing skin's roughness within five days.
Instant Relief
The Hydrating Foot Cream's effectiveness was measured by Vaseline scientists using a SKICON Skin Hygrometer. Research shows that Vaseline Intensive Rescue Hydrating Foot Cream, (which contains 6% glycerin) provided a significant increase of moisture – with the skin maintaining nearly four times its baseline level immediately following application – instantly relieving the discomfort and associated symptoms caused by overly dry skin.
The SKICON Skin Hygrometer shows that 10 minutes after the application of Vaseline Intensive Rescue Hydrating Foot Cream, the skin's moisture levels are four times higher - keeping the moisture in very dry skin where it is most needed, in order to enhance the skin's ability to heal itself.
Reducing Roughness for Long-Term Repair
Vaseline Intensive Rescue Hydrating Foot Cream also contains 13% occlusive in the form of Vaseline petroleum jelly. This helps to fill in the lipid structure of very dry skin while also preventing further moisture loss, allowing skin to retain moisture over time. The Alpha Hydroxy Acids in Vaseline Intensive Rescue Hydrating Foot Cream gently soften and exfoliate the rough, coarse skin on feet, delivering comfort while further promoting the proper environment for healing.
