Rod Tucker, Pharmacist Dermatology Practitioner
Rod qualified as a pharmacist in 1988 from Bradford University, and currently works part time as a pharmacist dermatology practitioner in a community pharmacy in Hull. He has a special interest in skin diseases and is looking to develop his research interests into the role of community pharmacists in the management of patients with skin diseases.
Between 2000 and 2007, Rod worked in the prison service, where he developed his interest in dermatology. In 2002, he won the primary care Pharmaceutical Care Awards for his development of a pharmacist-led dermatology clinic for prisoners with skin diseases. Rod has published several articles on his work with skincare patients as well as being involved in the development of training packages on dermatology for pharmacists and lecturing on dermatological problems.
